The oldest running of the bulls takes place in the town of Cuellar, Segovia province. This is a tradition that dates back to the 1200s. Bulls are herded through open fields by hundreds of horse riders on horse back. Meanwhile, crowds of people wait at the entrance to the village to run alongside the cattle into the bullring.
It takes place on the last weekend of August.
