“La Magdalena” conmemorates the founding of the city of Castellón De La Plana in the XIII century. Over nine days a huge variety of activies take place, such as colourful parades, processions, firework displays, floral offerings, gastronomic tastings and concerts. In addition, the symbols of the city, the “Gaiatas” (monuments with colourful lighs) are placed all around the city.
This festival starts on the third Saturday of Lent, hence the variation in the date of celebration. (March 14-22, 2020)
