The ‘Jarramplas’ is a festival held in the town of Piornal, western Spain. On the 19th of January, Saint Sebastian Day, and the 20th, a sort of diabolical-looking character appears in the streets of this village beating a drum. He has to dodge thousands of turnips that people launched against him.

The ‘Jarramplas’  has a long tradition and is increasing its popularity every year.
